I know the LGBT community never told me to "man up" in college. But that's probably because it was before they merged with the feminist community.

My cousins would punch me in the arm, then if I did anything, they would call me a crybaby. But they did that to several of us. That's when I learned that people are mean and sometimes those mean people are in your family. So I didn't feel bad calling one of them a crybaby when they got a beeline crotch shot while we were playing baseball one day. Took him 10 minutes to "man up" enough to get up off the ground.

I don't get cat calls, but I'm a pretty boy so I get oggled at alot. You learn to deal with it.

Apparently growing up in rural Refinery Knoll, Texas and Redneck Acres, Oklahoma gave me a different experience than the rest of you commenters, because I have heard, and still hear regularly, boys being told to "man up" or "cowboy up", and it's usually the dad, not the mom. Me, I was never told that, so I'm a pussy crybaby.

Sidenote: I wish my "girls" would "man up".
