Re: Miscellany
Language nerds to me!
Twitter is hosting a whole "hashtag" of collective nouns?
http://twitter.com/collectivenouns
Including such wonders as "patchouli of hippies". I hope that someone will add our meme, remoras for the win!
Here's zombies just because I'm trendy.

This should probably go into one of those intellectual thrads about like pomos or homeschooling or something, but those fuckers aren't on the front page right now, ARE THEY?
So I am putting it here, classing up this joint.
Edit that also it's a tiny bit NSFW for like half a second.

Re: Miscellany
Okay, since you people* are so incredibly mean and didn't start a thrad on this subject I'm forced to use this space to reveal the TRUTH about a subject I know at least two of you care very deeply about.
It's been out a while now but I finally had the Great Mawling Pibble (pettings be upon her) smile at me. Sharpie's new Liquid Pencil is now MINE you unwashed teeming mass of freethought talk and chat! And because I am not selfish I will share what I have already learned.
The first lines are kind of spotty, like with a cheap pen but it looks like it clears up after a bit of writing.
I was going to do a smudge test but it won't smudge. IT WON'T SMUDGE. Mostly because rubbing it with your finger erases it. So, if you ever run out of eraser you can just rub your error away.
I haven't owned the unbelievable feat of engineering and ingenuity for 24 hours yet so I'll have to report back to you ingrates later when I've done that.
*mostly I mean lisapea

Re: Miscellany
I should probably put this in Member News, but I'm not quite ready to admit it.
You guys. I cannot find my little jar with Sharpies in it and a roll of masking tape around the rim. It's not where it belongs. It's not in any of the other places I've looked. I'm not entirely ready to say this out loud, but I think it might be gone.
I guess you just sort of go around labeling things for the freezer, bulk spices, jars of beans and rice and flour and things like that, and you never really take a moment to appreciate the little jelly jar with Sharpies in it and a roll of masking tape around the rim.
Never, that is, until it's gone.
