Default History nerd tourist apps

Early consideration of maybe going to Philly. Found several fun apps. Has anyone found some cool apps for touring cities with historic stuff to see?

The Museum of London has a killer Street Museum app. You hold your camera up to wherever you are in London and the app will show you period pictures of how it looked in the past.

The Science Museum in London has one that features James May of Top Gear fame narrating one of their exhibits. :awesome:

This is probably a lot more recent than you were thinking, but there's an app to view what the inner city of my town looked like pre-earthquake. You can use it remotely and as an augmented reality thingy when walking around looking at the demolition sites, although last time we tried that it seemed to have trouble getting the location pinpointed close enough.

HITLabNZ - CityViewAR

eta - Just tried the fake location feature. Kinda interesting but pretty shaky, and could use more 3d models.

The New York Transit Museum in Brooklyn is pretty cool.
