Default One U.S. Dollar = One Euro again

The U.S. dollar is now at parity (1:1) at WorldHotel 41 hotel chain with hotels in Germany, Italy, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Poland, Luxembourg, Austria, Spain and the Czech Republic, trying to entice Americans to travel and stay at their hotels. Now, instead of it costing $237 for a night's stay, it now only costs $150.

Will Europeans and others will have to pay the usual 150 Euros unless they pay with dollars or does this apply only to Americans with American passports?

Will this start a trend in tourist-dependent businesses elsewhere?

Is it even a good idea to cater to [rich] ugly Americans?

Or, does someone know something about what's going to happen to the value of a dollar that the rest seem not to know?

Ah, they just cut the 'obscene profits' in half and call it a 'discount'.

That's an interesting plan. Like every supply/demand problem, there's going to be a balance when it comes to the America market. However, their 'demand' is going to drop from Europeans who feel put out that they're not getting as good a deal as the Yanks, so I hope they carefully studied the relative markets before embarking on this course of action.

I don't know, but American hotels did this for Canucks for years when the Canadian dollar was worth 60-something cents American.

They're probably the same rates you can get using Priceline or Expedia.
