Why didn't I know about these anti-theft slippers before?

I especially like the multiple layers of protection, so if the fact that they're made out of astroturf doesn't dissuade slipper thieves, the alarm is there as backup.

ETA: Or the sweatpants with arm attachments?

I just discovered the coolest thing.

If you go into advanced search, and type in a thread title, choose 'thread title', then type in a user's name, scroll down and click 'show as posts', just that poster's posts, in that specific thread, will show up.

this is probably old news to everyone, but for a computer rube such as myself, this is quite an accomplishment. LOL. I figured it out all by myself. Heehee. (doing a bit more homework for my giftee)

That's a neat trick. Alternatively you can just go into the thread, find a post by person X, click their name in that post and select "Show only [user's] posts" for the same result.

The fuck?

I just got a cancellation confirmation for my AOL account. My correct name, my correct address.

I have never had an AOL account. Never. I had an ISP before AOL offered internet access. I have ALWAYS been too cool for that shit.

So anyway, they won't tell me shit about it because I don't know the billing method and I don't know the username or anything. Fuckers.

They're going to mail me some kind of affidavit or something to fill out, at which point something or another will be set in motion. Yee fucking haw.

So if there's someone out there who thinks it's like really funny to besmirch my reputation by signing up for an AOL account in my name, you'd better tell me now before I...uh...do some...uh...stuff to your ass.

So why do they have my correct address to send the cancellation to, but a different one for billing? Does AOL let you set up an account in your name with someone else's billing information, or does this mean that someone is using my information for billing too? I have checked my credit report recently, and I didn't see anything hinky.

Goddammit. I just know this is going to suck.

I'm gonna barf.

I just found one of my two Pantone color matching books sitting on the top of a box of someone else's stuff in my basement. I can't find the other one, though. I spent about a million dollars on that, and because I no longer actually need it, it's not like I can replace it.

I really liked having it, though. It's part of my reference library, and it's just good to have sometimes.

I'm trying to convince myself the other half will show up and that someone didn't throw it away thinking it was paint chips or something.

I really need to get everyone else's stuff out of my house so I can find my own things. This happens way too often.

Still not actually mad, though.

The funniest thing about that dinner act was Sean Hannity trying to pretend that it 1) wasn't funny, and 2) was so lame it even embarrassed the "liberals" in the audience.

I was reading the Wikipedia page on waffles and turned up this tidbit:

Quote:
The modern waffle has its origins in the late Middle Ages. Waffle irons consisted of two metal plates connected by a hinge, with each plate connected to a wooden arm. Some plates had imprinted designs such as a coat-of-arms or landscape, while some had the now-familiar honeycomb/gridiron pattern (there is evidence that in the 14th century only wealthy kitchens would have irons). The iron was placed over a fire and would need to be flipped manually to cook both sides of the waffle.

Waffles are the fucking shit.
Damn straight, unknown vandal. They are the fucking shit indeed.
