Re: Miscellany
God didn't fix my keyboard!
I did, however, find a couple of backup keyboards, one the same model and vintage, which is now cleaned and being typed on. I'm still going to try to fix the old one for its birthday. (It turns 30 on October 7.)
I know you guys were probably pretty worried about me, so I figured I should let you know.

I AM NOT LYING THIS TIME.
They are both these guys. The one I just damaged was manufactured October 7, 1986, and the whippersnapper I'm typing on now was made February 25, 1987.
I also have an infant space saver model, like the one here, whose birthday is May 28, 1993. That one has blood gutters that drain fluid out the bottom of the keyboard. I don't use it, though, because it's barely old enough to drink, and it doesn't have number pads.
I also have a Keytronic KB 5150 from 1983, which is a Model F clone, not quite mint, but in its box, that's missing a couple of key caps. I think it'd need an active hardware adapter to work, but that is among the many things that I used to know but forgot. It'd be cool if I could get that one working someday, though. It's pretty sweet.
I bought probably all of them at thrift stores for like $3 maybe 20 years ago, but they're going for hundreds of dollars now. Because you never know how good you had it until it gets worse.
I'd actually forgotten whether I had any spares left or not, because I used to find them all the time and give them away, and I thought I might have been down to my last. Fortunately, I have plenty to last the rest of my natural life and probably a couple of other subsequent guys, like when I bequeath my computer setup to one of you guys and you have to use it out of a sense of obligation.

Mrs. S and I bought this years ago, at a 99-cent store. For reals.
She uses it with her iMac.

OK, so from what I gather, the pope caught a rare "Pierbattista Pizzaballa" Pokemon and took over the Holy Land gym with it?
I don't really understand how this stuff works.

Re: Miscellany
I am listening to DJ Shadow now because you said to, and yes, this is really good. As is Iggy, of course. Thank you! These are accurate recommendations!
BUT ALSO GUESS WHAT.
So I play one of those dumb games where you get a bunch of letters and have to find all the words in there, and I play it pretty much compulsively sometimes, but today, I got two subsequent puzzles where the first had ORISONS and the very next one had QUIETUS. And the only place I think I have ever seen either of those words is in Hamlet's soliloquy. (I used to be able to recite that from memory, but I don't know if I still can.)
I play that game all the time. It's not a Shakespeare words game. It's just a regular dumb game that I guess started contemplating some big questions. It's the singularity for sure now!

Re: Miscellany
Playing with fire, can be calming.
The area is very starved of vaporize fuel, the flame fronts move across the surface using up the vapor which heats up the mixture causing more fuel to vaporize, which then allows the flame front to bounce back consuming the new fuel.

OMG when you're not busy being wrong about everything it's like we're twins or something. Except my app's obscure ones aren't so much Shaxpur as sciency stuff (meiosis, e.g.). Which one is that? You can PM me if you don't want to be banned for spamming (again).

Re: Miscellany
My pinkie toenail fell off. The whole thing. There was no injury I am aware of, no evidence of crushing, contusion, etc. Nor is there any fungus involved. It was just wiggling like a deiciduous tooth and I when I went to cut it, the nail just came out. Didn't hurt at all. Now I have a bald little piggie. It's quite cute, really, all pink and soft like a newborn rat.

The one I'm playing now is called Word Chaos. Sometimes, I think it makes up words, and it doesn't know some real words, but it's better than the other ones I've tried so far. Their dictionary is kind of old-timey or something. So if you have any recommendations, I would also want to know. As far as I know, there isn't a name for that kind of game, so I don't even know how to search, really.
