Here's the John Stevens website. He has a great voice. He should hook up with Harry Connick Jr.

I don't either. I do remember another crooner competing against Stevens, though, but I don't think he made the top 12. I could be misremembering things though.

And to me!

I don't doubt that she has all kinds of chronic pain, but if you're slurring your words and acting all mushy and looped out, then legitimate or not, your drug-taking is impairing your abilities.

Such that they are, natch. :P

He did get married, and recently had a kid.

He's also recovering from two surgeries in the second half of 2005 (August and December, I believe), which may explain his weight fluctuation. He had intestinal problems.

Did I mention I found nude photos of Paula Abdul online one time and she has a giant muff?

Damn, between carting my kids to karate class after work, working out, grabbing some dinner, going over 1st grade spelling words and various other duties-- I missed it.

Recap anyone??? The only thing I caught was the Ukranian girl singing that old Queen song "Momma, I just killed a man..." in a very awkard high lilting voice. Poor thing, back to the wilds with her. "No Visa for you!"

Recap: A bunch of people sang and performed. Some were attractive and sang well, others were funny looking and sucked. Simon was mean, Paula and Randy were bland.

Simon and I agreed that the Ukranian chick was built for porn.

Except I'm on a tight schedule, and I'm taping The Bachelor in Paris.
The only chance I get to watch it is during American Idol's time slot.

You didn't miss much. This part of the show just isn't as funny as it used to be--at least it wasn't last night. The "highlights" include: one girl who obviously spent too much time at the tanning salon (and her scary mother who looked like a hooker), a guy who came to the show dressed in, I believe, a Turkish outfit, a spastic dude who jumped around a lot and who surprising made the next round despite not being able to sing. Most of the people last night were just mediocre-to-bad singers. The only people that stood out as being really good were a set of twins who serenaded Paula. I hope tonight is better.

I don't get it! You mean you liked that Zachary kid? He had a great voice, but I suspect you mean something else. :para:

That was an improvement, imo, but I've always preferred the competitive aspect to the mockery of inept or unattractive people.

Really that spastic guy had a decent voice, it was just hard to distinguish while he was bouncing around. I think if he calms down he could be a contender. I definitely got the impression that they put him through just for comic relief, though.

I felt really bad for that skinny guy who spent a year taking vocal lessons only to get told by Simon he should shave his beard and become a female impersonator. His voice was fine, imo, certainly better than the spaz's voice. Poor kid.

The spaz shouldn't have made it at all.

I missed it because the sheriff's officer showed up at the house to take a report on the stolen credit cards.
