Or something else, depending on how much he loves South Africa.

Pan, mokey man just filled me in that you're referring to Don Quixote who charged windmills thinking they were giants.

Also the post in the OP was quite funny.
Bikes were like that in the town I was in, in Sweden (Lund). And they require you, by law, to have headlights and a little back light on your bike for use at night, and so even if you lock up your bike, unless you always take your lights with you they'll get stolen eventually (one of my lights got stolen...). But apparently Lund has one of the highest per capita use of bicycles in Sweden. It totally made sense, if you tried driving around the city center. The roads go in circles and they're narrow, even my cousin who lived there got confused trying to drive downtown. I dunno how the bike situation is in the other cities...

Re: The shocking truth about the Dutch!!1!
They sell extra salty licorice here, which is exactly that...
And of course you take your lights with you if you park your bike. You are allowed to have lights on your person instead of on the bike btw, so many people do that.
Also:
Quote:
Dutch “g” “ch” and “r” are all pronounced more or less the same (although the Dutch insist they’re different) - a harsh, guttural “kh” sound (like you’re clearing phlegm from your throat). So the word “gracht” (canal) combines all three “kh” sounds in one word…that sounds really, really awful: “khkhakht.” This is why “Grolsch” (the beer) sounds like “Khkhols”, not “grolsh”.
|
There are actually two ways to pronounce the Dutch g. This is how they pronounce it in most of the country.
In the southern provinces of Noord Brabant and Limburg (and the southern part of Gelderland, including Nijmegen where I live) and also in the Dutch-speaking parts of Belgium the g is not the Arabic-like guttural sound but a soft sound. Hard and soft G - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Also: the g sound is sometimes spelled as ch (as in licht (= light) for instance)

Some Dutch police officers wear clogs. What more evidence of their evil is necessary?
It's true!

That's what I was going for, but you're right, it totally looks the opposite. I shall remedy this injustice just as soon as I finish grinding rat turd-covered melba toast into my soft palate.

The right hand is steady now, so I presume this is the new improved version? Should there not be a little bit of stroking though? Could you bring the left hand into view - maybe have it stroking along the Botswana border a little (as long as it doesn't mess with the very important hearts)?
Actually, I'm delighted that we can spend time discussing and improving the finest details of smilies. That's !

Hmm... I could, of course, although that would break with the "I love" tradition of an implied hand closing the hug from behind the country. None of the other countries get stroked. I don't want to cause an international incident.

Look at the address bar. Engadget can't decide if it was in Denmark or Dutchland.

Yeah, I saw that. It's all the same to them. Nethermark, maybe. Or Denland?

Pretty sure I've heard of this Nethermark before...
