Actually it is! I don't recall whether this was a modern day moose, but this was taken in one of the Smithsonian museums in DC, last time I was there. The T-Rex head was on display at the local community college a couple of years ago. I noticed it in between classes one day.

My choice for Most Beautiful Bone, which, in keeping with the thread, just happens to be located in the skull is the sphenoid.
Wouldn't that look just fabulous in lucite? There's something interesting to see from every angle.

Ah, the sphenoid; that's definitely my favorite bone! So delicate yet so strong. So symmetrical and so beautiful; it looks like a butterfly.
In my Human A&P classes, I always wax lyrical when showing and describing the sphenoid. Once, during a review session, while trying to get students to name bones, processes, foramina, etc., I simply said, "This is my favorite bone." The whole class immediately replied, "the sphenoid!".
