Actually it is! I don't recall whether this was a modern day moose, but this was taken in one of the Smithsonian museums in DC, last time I was there. The T-Rex head was on display at the local community college a couple of years ago. I noticed it in between classes one day.

Moose are pretty impressive, but the Irish Elk (Megaloceros giganteus) had an even bigger rack.

My choice for Most Beautiful Bone, which, in keeping with the thread, just happens to be located in the skull is the sphenoid.

Wouldn't that look just fabulous in lucite? There's something interesting to see from every angle.

It's kind of a cheesy contribution, but this thread needed a bump.

Ah, the sphenoid; that's definitely my favorite bone! So delicate yet so strong. So symmetrical and so beautiful; it looks like a butterfly.

In my Human A&P classes, I always wax lyrical when showing and describing the sphenoid. Once, during a review session, while trying to get students to name bones, processes, foramina, etc., I simply said, "This is my favorite bone." The whole class immediately replied, "the sphenoid!".
