It's like nobody seems to grasp that Mueller is asking him to turn over all his emails with Steve Bannon and Roger Stone, and it will take, like, eighty hours to go over them, and do people even understand how boring it would be to spend eighty hours looking at emails between Sam Nunberg and Steve Bannon and Roger Stone? That's the mindset on display here. It became a waste of time when they asked him to do some work, and it became a witch hunt when they targeted Roger Stone. Not because Stone is innocent, but because he's Nunberg's friend/mentor.

Keep in mind that steel tariff exempted just about any country in the world that resembled friendly to the US, and didn't cover aluminum. Since this seems to be thw administration of if it didn't work last time, try again but harder, I expect a global economic meltdown of some degree and a not insignificant number of dead people statistically related to the fallout.

I'd like to reemphasize the part about all those dead Iraqis on a war hinging on a false report of weapons of mass destruction. (I understand it's a much longer history there, even before the Kuwait thing.)

I'll also toss up into the mix the final nail in the Glass-Steagal coffin that brought us the whole US real estate melt down. What with Dodd-Frank being shitcanned now, thought that last melt down was something? Y'all ain't seen nuthin yet. And with the reasoning behind these new tariffs being 'national security', these two things don't jive. In the wake of the last melt down, foreigners all over bought the shit out of dirt cheap US industry and resources.

So, what if Trump is just Bush, but harder? The problem's deeply systemic in the US oligarchy. And I suppose we have a war based on false premises(*) scheduled for late this year, early next.

* Did I just malaprop that? (Verbing weirds language)

Also, the tariffs will mainly result in higher prices for just about everything.

And if Bombardier were any indication of what happens to a smaller country’s industries, even if the tariffs are shot to shit in world courts it's still the needle and the damage done.

But hey, leave the WTO, nothing like being a rogue nation state outside of international law to help business along.
