Car: Jenny Lewis with the Watson Twins, Rabbit Fur Coat
Home: Sigur Ros, Takk...

Re: One of those 'Wat'cha Listenin' To?' threads.
Very next day everybody got up
Seein' if the clothes were dry
The dogs were barking, a neighbor passed
Mama, of course, she said, "Hi!"
"Have you heard the news?" he said with a grin
"The Vice-President's gone mad."
"Where?" "Downtown." "When?" "Last night."
"Hmm, say, that's too bad."
"Well, there's nothin' we can do about it," said the neighbor
"It's just somethin' we're gonna have to forget."
"Yes, I guess so," said Ma
Then she asked me if the clothes was still wet.

I said to Hank Williams, How lonely does it get?
Hank Williams hasn't answered yet

Here's to Cisco and Sonny and Leadbelly too
And all the good people that traveled with you
Here's to the hearts and the hands of the men
That come with the dust and are gone with the wind.

The video to that is hilarious, by the way. Not as weird and surreal as O Sailor's video, but it made me laugh.

My new DVD player is playing a Siouxsie and the Banshees concert ('81) that the old POS player wouldn't touch.

The Postal Service, Give Up
I realize they're all emo and shit but, dammit, I like them. Anyone who samples NES games and sings moody lyrics over them is all right in my book.

Re: One of those 'Wat'cha Listenin' To?' threads.
I hardly ever post in threads like this because I have such an electic collection of music but I just amde a new mix today so far I have 25 songs on.
And I though I'd mention a few cover songs I have.
The first is a cover of Snoop Doggs "Gin and Juice" by a group called the gourds. Its done is a slow almost blues grass style. A Huge change from the original, but thats what makes it such a good cover.
The second is along the same lines and is a cover of the late great Eazy E's song "Boyz in Da Hood" done by Dynamite Hack.
Very interesting covers both of them. Right up there with Johnny Cash and his cover of NINs "Hurt" and Soundgardens "Rusty Cage"

Re: One of those 'Wat'cha Listenin' To?' threads.
Ok, I knew about Hurt (I've got it on a mp3 somewhere) but Cash did Rusty Cage? Haha, I've gotta hear that... sounds like it would be pretty weird.
...at the moment I'm listening to:
