Do you generally lynch people without them claiming? Jerome has been floating from L-3 to L-1 for days, that many votes stops pressure from applying to anyone else.

He said, a page or two back, that he was town. How much more of a claim do you want?

I think he is asking for a role rather than an alignment.

Seriously? You think, "I'm town." counts as a claim?

I do not get your opposition to a claim from the leading bandwagon as they go back and forth from L-2 to L-1 to L-2. Claiming is what happens at this point. It's mindboggling that you're trying to portray this as against the interests of the town, I am literally sitting wondering what on earth is running through your head to make you think this.

The person claims and, if not protected, is nk'd night one. Good idea.

Even if Jerome did claim now, would you believe him? I suppose then you'll be wanting the real role to counter claim?

Brilliant plan.

In what way does that line of logic not work for absolutely every single person in the game.

Logic is a funny thing. It can masquerade scummy intentions.

Can you honestly say that applying pressure to get someone to role claim is not a scummy tactic?

It is neutral to me. I have done similar in the past and had people fos or vote for me.

I have only done it as scum. Usually it is pretty effective, unless some crazed serial killer takes out your don on night one. By pressuring people into role claiming you (as a scum) will know who to take out first in order to best weaken town. That is Elouise's point.

When I am town I am too busy trying to figure out who the scum are to be worried about pressuring someone into role claiming.

Seems a few of you are missing the point. Or are you?

Pushing for a role claim is special hunting. Forcing a special to out on day one is not pro town.

Nightson, why is it "mindboggling" to you that this tactic is being questioned?

people get to l-1, they claim or not as they see fit, the town either unvotes or lynches, we have had games where more than one claim gets made on day one because more than one person was pushed to l-1.

I am with nightson on this, you have played before right?

Are you asking him if he is going to claim because that evidently is special hunting?

Asking for a claim before the hammer seems to be mafia 101 stuff.

You're voting a player to pressure a claim. Presumably a role claim, since Jerome's town claim apparently isn't good enough. If there's no role claim, then what? Lynch him?

And if there is a role claim, then what? Don't lynch him, and move onto someone else? Meanwhile scum have a NK candidate and we possibly lose a special. Thank you.

Pressuring a claim. WTF?

Lynch vote for reasons of scumminess, not to out specials.

The claim could also be vanilla town.

We go to l-1

there is claim
We lynch
We move on

Nightson would like to move on and feels the town is stuck on Jerome. (correct me if I am wrong Nightson) There are all sorts of things that you could disagree with. I am not pleased that he would vote for someone he would prefer not to lynch but I understand why.

Claiming that he is fishing for specials is just stupid.

I am also hoping his role claim sheds light on his alignment.

Yes .. So?

Jerome's claimed town already. Believe him or not. If you all aren't actually lynch voting him for scumminess, drop the lynch and work on someone else. Further pressuring a claimed townie for a role claim is not good for town.

Claiming that pressuring for a role claim is not akin to fishing for specials is absurd.

Are you talking about role claim ... or character claim? If it's the latter, have you considered the possibility of safe claims?

You're asking others about their mafia experience ... If you're not scum, you're taking a very naive approach to this.
