Jerome, weren't you arguing for the flat Earth model just recently, and now you are promoting the global Earth?

Simply, the observation we will shorty see doesn't work with the current spinning globe model, and neither NASA, nor any other outlet, can animate the eclipse using the current model.
God is showing the world that the satanic presentation is false.

The NASA model works perfectly for the way reality is, you just need to understand what the NASA model really is, and it has little to do with the inaccurate models depicted in your post.
If by "Satanic Presentation" you are referring to the NASA model, then you are incorrect, NASA and science does not address God at all, it is devoid of God or Satan altogether.

I believe the eclipse will proceed according to published plan without any interference from the flat Earther's or the Godbotherers.

Planet X and the Great American Eclipses
Quote:
We are looking at an eclipse of Biblical proportions on August 21st of this year. We’ll explore some of the deep implications of this event. In Exodus, there were 10 plagues; this August Eclipse will move across 10 states, as will the second Great American Eclipse of 2024.
This is indeed an amazing omen and a frightful sign.

You are factually incorrect.
NASA has not and can not present a model which works with the observation we are about to see which is in accordance with the spinning globe model.
As a believer in 'scientism', please present an accurate model of the movement of the sun, moon, and earth for the coming eclipse.
You will not, because you can not, and will resort to attacks on myself as your only resort.

So there you go... It was so hard to find a simple explanation on Wikipedia for the direction of the path of the eclipse. Uh, if the moon is moving that fast it wouldn't take the moon 27 days to rotate around the earth, it would take 11 hours.
See, to explain it you have to speed up the moon well beyond the speed described in the spinning globe model.

I did, NASA provides animations with the moon flying around the earth with great speed (it takes 27 days according to the current model), or they have animations with the earth spinning the wrong way! As if the sun rises in the west and sets in the east!!
|
Twit, it's not showing the Earth rotating the wrong way, it's the "camera" changing its angle, which is why the sun and the moon also "move".
At about 10 seconds in, the camera stops moving, and the rotation of the Earth can be seen... moving in the correct direction.
The shadow moves from west to east because the moon is moving in that direction as part of its orbit.

the Moon doesn't move along the Earth's surface, twit. The length of its orbit (the circumference, so to speak) is much, much larger than the circumference of the Earth.
You can't possibly be serious with this idiocy.

Re: North American Solar eclipse 8/21/2017
Let's just do the math regarding how long it should take the Moon to revolve (not rotate) around the Earth.
The Moon's mean distance from the Earth is 384,400 kilometers. That means the distance it travels to complete an orbit of the Earth is approximately 2,415,256 kilometers [circumference = pi x the diameter, as we all learned in elementary school]. The Moon's orbit isn't a perfect circle, but it's close enough for rough calculations.
The Moon's orbital velocity is given as 61 kilometers per minute. There are 1,440 minutes per day. So, the Moon travels approximately 87,840 kilometers along its 2,415,256-kilometer orbit each day.
So, it should take the Moon 2,415,256/87,840 days to complete one orbit. That equals 27.5 days, which ... checks out, actually.

Re: North American Solar eclipse 8/21/2017
It seems the wiki article should be updated though since they should be comparing the angular velocity of the moon across the surface of the Earth with the rotation of the Earth.

Re: North American Solar eclipse 8/21/2017
Ranger, you are mixing and matching to get the answer you desire, which is the fraud the wiki article is doing.
For the shadow to move west to east, the moon has to be revolving around the earth faster than the earth is rotating on its axis. (moon relative to earth)
We are told it takes 27 days for the moon to revolve around the earth.
This has nothing to do with the speed of the moon in its obit of the earth. (moon relative to its own orbit)

I would think that the angular velocity of the Moon's shadow across the surface of the Earth would be only slightly faster than it's velocity in it's orbit around the Earth. And from that velocity would be deducted the surface velocity where the shadow lands on the surface of the Earth.

BINGO!!
The moon travels 0.5 degrees of the earth per hour. The earth spins at 15.0 degrees per hour.
The moon, relative to the earth, does not travel faster than the earth spins.

The shadow of the Moon on the surface of the Earth is moving faster than the Surface of the Earth.
The speed of the Moon in it's orbit has everything to do with the time it takes to orbit the Earth.
BTW, the same surface of the Moon is always facing the Earth because the Moon is tidally locked to the Earth so the revolution of the Moon on it's axis is the same as it's orbital period.

Re: North American Solar eclipse 8/21/2017
In 24 hours the earth has spun 360 degrees.
In 24 hours the moon has traveled only 13 degrees of the earth.
ETA: these are the numbers given by the spinning globe propagators

You are not talking about its speed relative to the earth, you are using its speed relative to the distance its traveling.
