Re: Unsurprisingly, Crazy people have issues.
Yeah the anti- camp on mothering has plenty of people who can't bear to look/hold/be around mutilated children, or in the same room as people who disagree with them. They are going to have a lot of fun when their kids are teenagers.
It is actually kind of sad, because they de-legitimize their points with their over the top behavior. People who are like me and "meh" about it, are not persuaded by this kind of event or communication and are more likely not to want to associate with these loons by participating in whatever they are supporting.
The American Academy of Pediatrics says there is not enough scientific evidence for circumcision to be recommended for all males for a health benefit, and that parents should weigh the benefits and risks of the procedure and choose what they are most comfortable with.

Wait, did someone say something about dead vacant eyes?

Yes, back before I ran away screaming, someone on mothering.com said vaccinated children have dead, vacant eyes.

How do you troll people that talk about their decision to take a shit on some newspaper rather than leave their ill child's side for a few minutes to go to their outhouse?

This is the second time that I know of that the crazy bag of crazy that is mothering.com has been brought up to the fascination of passersby. Maybe it should have it's own thread.

I'm pretty sure that chamber pots can and were made of natural materials.

Re: Unsurprisingly, Crazy people have issues.
I'd just like to add some trauma/drama to this thread.
When asked why they didn't talk to the doctor, and went right to protest. Here is the response of yet another fun time happy mom.
Quote:
I try to protect myself from pervert energy also. If this "man" is a midwife, I suspect he is of the birth- energy- vampire sort. He is a child-mutilating rapist and doesn't deserve the time of day. I would be tempted to spit on him so I will stay away. Darci, since you would like to connect, be at the vigil on Friday. You will meet there the most sane and loving folks ever.

Darci is the woman who was questioning their tactics.

All male midwives must be perverts too.
Nice.

Circumcision is a sex crime?

Re: Unsurprisingly, Crazy people have issues.
Apparently in their eyes, yes.
They think you have to stimulate the penis to make it erect to do the circumcision. I don't know that much about the procedure, but I do know their claim that babies should be anesthetized to the degree they think they should be is way off.

Re: Unsurprisingly, Crazy people have issues.
Kiddo was circumcised (I was not legal parent or guardian at the time so it was thankfully not my call). The doctor described the procedure (no mention of erection), which included a local anesthetic, took him a few doors down (no blood curdling screams), brought him back less that 10 minutes later and he was not even crying. His circumcision healed within days, much faster than his belly button...which got infected and needed medical intervention.

How does one protect oneself from Pervert Energy? Does it require special polymers?

P.S. And BIRTH ENERGY VAMPIRES!!!!111! Do not think mere garlic, a wooden stake, and some homeless guy on a stick will save you from THAT!

No, there is less evidence for the medical efficacy for pierced ears.

Certainly, its also less mutilation, . . .

Circumcision? Yes, it is less mutilating.
