Day 3, it's straight ice now. I hope the sun melts the freakin ice on my driveway. I have got to get out of the house before I go insane.
Edit: It's actually Day 5 of not going anywhere. All we did this weekend was go to the grocery store.

My boss seems ok with me taking sick leave, what with the prednesone and all, so I haven't left the house since Sunday. The snow is still falling and there's at least 8" in the driveway. Probably some of it is an icy crust as well.

We got lucky today that as much as we got, it was all powder. :springfieldma:

got a total of 13.7 inches. Living in a valley does have its advantages. Other places in this part of :ma:

got close to 30 inches. :whoa:

best not to come to my neck of the woods then. theres been snow and ice on the roads up here for a good 3 months straight. The road my house is on doesn't get plowed and the packed snow usually wont disappear until march. With the 14 inches we got last weekend good luck making it in and out without a 4x4. the snow is getting packed down enough that some cars can make it, but i saw a car get high centered in a rut this morning

we had more snow today, just a couple cm, 5-10cm romorrow, 5-10cm the day after to tomorrow, and the day after that, and the day after that..... (1" = 2.54cm) It's also a sweltering -26°C outside (before windchill) and heading south of -30 tonight. wind chill will be in the -40°C range.

despite all this cold and snow i couldn't be happier...mainly because I'm flying to a tropical resort on Friday...sandy beaches and +25C here i come.

Though it was still quite cold, the sun shone today. I cleared out the driveway so what little was left, would melt away. Left the yard for the first time since Sunday, to go renew the lease and get a few groceries.

I could have had a short day today, but I didn't check the website to find out about the delayed opening. So I'm the only one in the office until 10 and I'm just screwing off online. Which is exactly what I do for work anyway!
