The one I'm playing now is called Word Chaos. Sometimes, I think it makes up words, and it doesn't know some real words, but it's better than the other ones I've tried so far. Their dictionary is kind of old-timey or something. So if you have any recommendations, I would also want to know. As far as I know, there isn't a name for that kind of game, so I don't even know how to search, really. |
Ima try yours if it's free. Mine is Jumbline 2. I just discovered there's an "expert words" feature, right when I was getting tired of their repertoire. That one flat out makes up words (each word links to a dictionary, but this expert shit often hits a "not found" page on its own damned source) and half the long words are medical, scientific, or goddamned foreign.
As for search terms, I use text twist. That was the first game of its kind I found online, and it brought up a few flavors.

I've been musing on the idea of doing some click-bait style posts for the library. I'm constantly showing people the trick to getting our barcode scanners on the copiers to work the first time. One day it occurred to me to do a video of the right way to do it and label it "This one weird trick will make your card scan every time." I'm not sure if that's playful or lame in the library context.
