It's snowing in Texas. In December. The begining of December. Typically we get a flurry or two in late January or February, but this is pretty thick snow, (for here anyway) and took me by surprise. Messy drive this morning, but it's pretty now that I'm where I need to be.

Where in Texas are you? Way back in the day I went to the Cotton Bowl in Dallas and all my little stupid LA friends showed up in jeans and sweatshirts and it was below freezing the whole time. I'm like, you realize we're practically in Oklahoma up here, right?
It's windy and rainy in Athens, but not as cold as it was yesterday. I got a new coat from Old Navy!

Nice coat! I'm in Fort Worth, we're used to the cold and the winds. Typically if it is winter percipitation we get sleet it's so cold, but this time of year it is usually dry. So dry that winter wild fires are an issue. My skin is grateful for the moisture though. I'm a crocidile this time of year.

They're talking about us getting fucking snow flurries on Friday here in the Humidston area, which is even weirder for this time of year than it would be in Fort Worth, I think. Which would be FUCKING -- ALRIGHT with me. It rained like a motherfucker the last two days, fucking sunny today so far.

Clear, cloudless blue skies. Stiff cold wind out of the east. Temps 45ºF and lower. We have had frost this week. The 'maters are gonners. What the fuck is going on? It's not fucking raining.

Well yesterday I stayed home because I felt pretty sick and it fucking snowed for the first time. But by today the fucking sun was out for the first time in a fucking month and it was still a little fucking chilly. Plus I went to fucking McDonalds and had to deal with some unruly fucking assholes for a fucking while.

When I got up on Dec 1st, we'd had an inch or two overnight. It was like, "Hey, welcome to December!"
We've had snow on Halloween before, so going this late in the year without it is pretty good.

It snew a little yesterday, and we're supposed to get more tomorrow, I think. That's not too bad. We had a two foot snow already this year, plus a few more smaller ones.
It's two below right now, though, and I'm not very cold tolerant right now, so I am mad about that.

Aw dude, you were so busy asking me about the fucking housing here that you didn't ask about the fucking weather.
The summer's way too fucking long, but when winter does arrive (there's no autumn to speak of usually, although we got a couple weeks of it this year), there's this hellishly cold wind that kicks up that'll cut right to the bone. It doesn't last more than a day or two at a time, but it's enough to make you forget you live in a fucking swamp for awhile.

its absolutely beautiful right now, a sunny -11°C, no wind, and a not cloud in the sky. weather is going to change pretty quick though. I think we're heading in to our first real cold snap of the year up here.
The weather people say it will start snowing tonight, and that the temperature will plummet into low -20s, for the weekend. maby -30ish for overnight lows

So the weather website says rain and a low below 30 Saturday night, which I take to mean freezing rain. However, hysterical people are talking about snow. I won't believe it till I see it.

Tonight: Snow showers likely, mainly after 7pm. Cloudy, with a low around 26. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of around 2 inches.

About the same here, November was crazy warm. The snow usually sticks permanently for the winter around the end of October, but it just got cold enough to stick last week.
before last week it more like 10-15°C in the day..
