I went boating, drinking, and eating out for 4 days last week.

:boat:

So I'm fat and sun burnt.

:sunburn:

I only went into the water a couple times to cool off as I'm not a huge fan of swimming in fish poo water.

On the plus side we weren't in a Duck Boat. We had an actual boat on a lake to the north and were safely inside when the storm went over. I'm not sure if those things even qualify as "boat". It was a bad storm. :(

Just post the name of the site and the strain you had, and they will get feedback with some really dire warnings about what that shit does to your brain.

I'm heading to the state fair. I'm sure when I'm there someone in the family will hand me some sort of horrible deep fat fried object to eat. One year they were serving deep fat fried; oreos, candy bars, twinkies, chocolate cupcakes, sticks of butter, etc. You could also bring your own food from another vendor and pay to have it deep fat fried.

There was a place last year that you could order a $10 plate of curl sliced fried potatoes. I ordered it because it was the most healthy thing I could find. I passed on the Steak Dinner in a Cup (steak pieces, mashed potatoes, etc.) which looked sort of like a 44 oz big gulp of baby food with gravy on top. My paper plate was completely saturated with grease as well as a bunch of napkins I used to compress as much out as possible.

This year's health food addition is Halls Family Foods Cucumbers with a menu of; Cucumbers stuffed with either chicken salad, tuna salad, seafood salad or ranch. Fried veggies - mushrooms, cauliflower, broccoli, zucchini, green tomatoes, onion rings and pickles. Literally under the state fair website's Health Conscious food section. So my healthy option this year might be a cucumber stuffed with ranch dressing and a side of deep fat fried zucchini. Or I may just stick to an all beer diet this year and carb up.

My stomach hurts thinking of going. But I'm doing it for my family who purchased Kelly Clarkson tickets. Which is the unfortunate highlight of the night. Maybe the pig/goat/sheep/cow will give birth in the maternity ward while we're there.

The saving grace of going to the fair is feeling super skinny walking around in that crowd. You do have to watch out so you don't get run over by a mobility scooter.

In fairs in Britain you used to be able to win live goldfish. I bet if your state fair did that you get them deep fried. "Hey buddy, fish don't feel pain."

Amurcan fairs & carnivals used to murder goldfish like that too. Some probably still do.

The concert wasn't that bad. Kelly Clarkson has a good live voice without computer adjustments and lip syncing garbage.

The food was generally terrible. Not all terrible tasting, just terrible for your health. I found a hamburger place that was good and settled on the 1/3 lb kids meal version.

The most popular seemed to be the 1 lb corndog and the 1 gallon bucket of curly fried potatoes.

They've been attempting to one up the college world series (for USA universities only, thank you).

Quote:
Everywhere you look on the CWS ballpark menu, items are trying to one-up one another. You have a basket of onion rings topped with pulled pork, gouda and bacon? I raise you a 2-foot-long box of nachos topped with chunks of steak from Omaha Steaks.

Each year, sous chef Chris Myers tries to top the previous year’s comically large, gut-busting headliner. It’s hard to argue he hasn’t done that this year.

It’s a monstrosity called the Colossal Tot — a one-pound rotund tater tot smothered in your choice of vice: buffalo sauce and blue cheese, chili and cheese or poutine — all for $10.
And yes. Fried butter is a thing. Apparently started by Paula Dean.

Here's how you make it at home.

I don't really need to know HOW to make fried butter. I'm a little curious as to why. Not curious enough to research it, however. :vomit:
