A coworker has snakes. Well, it's actually his kids that have snakes. As I am known around - well everywhere - as the guy who takes microscope pictures, he mentioned a while back that he'd be interested in what the shed skin looks like up close.
Yesterday, he gave me two skins, one from a Carpet Python and one from a Nicaraguan Boa. I'm pretty sure this is from the python:
I have some work to do to improve on this, but I've got like 5 more feet of skin to go through.
This is the second skin I received. If the previous was a carpet python, this is a Nicaraguan boa. (I'm not 100% convinced I have them identified correctly.)
