Ugh, Ensign Steve. I never had you pegged as a LONGHORSE DENIER.
How do you refute the fossil evidence, as illustrated in this piece from my private collection?

Re: Miscellany
- Do any of you guys use Tiddlywiki?
- What about Adwords?
- At what point do I stop buying individual ethernet cables, and just get the stuff and do it myself? I keep thinking this is the last time I'm going to need a different one, so I buy a premade one, but I'm always wrong and I end up needing more.
- Also, what is happening to them? It seems like I should have a lot more than I do now. Are robbers stealing them? Am I losing them? Are they biodegrading or something?
- What else? I keep forgetting stuff. Sometimes, I remember things when I'm th--><--is close to falling asleep, but I'm afraid to get up and write them down or anything, because sometimes I can't get back to sleep.

Re: Miscellany
Never heard of Tiddlywiki, don't use Adwords, bought my own cable-making supplies about 8 years ago and still have most of the cable and thingamabobs, I don't know what's happening to them and I'm forgetful too.

Are they turning into wire hangers? That's what my socks do.

But what should I do? I am paralyzed by indecision on every front!
Somebody should either tell me what to do, or just come over and start doing stuff for me.

OH! OH! I wish! I was looking for wire hangers last week or so, because I wanted to make this one tripod thing from instructables, and I could only find one, and that wasn't enough.

Re: Miscellany
I wish, too! I think my wire hangers run away to Crumb's house. I don't know what happens to his socks, though, because they're not here.
Can you link the tripod thing? Would it be better to pretend that I am too upity or too stupid to google it?

Go with uppity.
Here's the tripod.
Have I ever mentioned that I love that site? Because I really do.

Re: Miscellany
Y'all can have my wire hangers if you'll bring over plastic hangers in exchange. Oh, and they have to have little dips or hookage--no, I don't know the correct term --so my blouses won't fall off the accursed things.

Re: Miscellany
I'm setting off big static electricity sparks again.
I have a new policy where I touch the finger stopper thing on my phone before I touch my computer, and every time I do it and I have a good charge worked up, it makes my radio say "THOONK!" (but only when I've left it on) and this little keychain LED flashlight that's sitting on my desk turns on.
I'm not even lying.

Re: Miscellany
You could always ground yourself on me. Street lights go out when I drive by. I know the skeptic's dictionary entry about this phenomenon, but you have to see it to believe it. I'm that much a negative influence.
Okay, it was Straight Dope, not Skeptic's Dictionary.

When you're running it behind walls and through floors room to room. It's a bitch to get through tiny unobtrusive holes with the connectors on. Unfortunately, crimping them yourself isn't always easy either. Often enough it works on the first try, but sometimes you get a cable that just seems to hate you and you have to keep chopping and retrying, the cable getting a half-inch shorter every time...

GAR. I meant AdSense. See how little I know?
Anyway, I don't even have any site of note that anyone would read. It's just some sort of deal where Google is sharing clickthrough revenues on old Google Answers questions with their former researchers. So I'm not actually showing anyone any ads. I just get paid when someone clicks through to one of the answers I did back when I did that. I was just having a hell of a time getting into my account, and thought I was doing something silly and fundamentally wrong. Turns out, I was. I was logging in with the wrong password. Dur. (Not that I understand where that other password came from or anything.)
To be honest, I still am not entirely sure how it works, but I figured it out enough to get into my account. I have earned about $8 so far. Yay me.

I've already decided I'm not going to do that. I got a really filthy look the last time I brought it up, plus, I've decided I spend too much time and effort doing dumbassed shit that a pro could do faster and better. After all, I'm an eight dollaraire now. The threading alone is reason enough not to do that.
It's just that I always seem to end up moving stuff around, and having some immediate, impatient need for a slightly longer or shorter cable, and the only place in the immediate vicinity to get cables is a damned Radio Shack, which is horrible for selection and price. Like right now, I've got a five foot cable where I really need about 7.5 feet. And I'm just loathe to go over there and pay a whole bunch of money for a 10' cable, especially since that's not even what I really need.
I fret about the stupidest things sometimes. I am running around all distraught over my big life decision of whether I should make my own ethernet cables or not. Man, I suck.

Last night, at about 1:30AM, Sluggo opened the bedroom door, walked in very nonchalantly, wedged himself in between us, and went to sleep.
I mean, I guess the latch must not have been fully engaged, but still.

Re: Miscellany
Why are underpants sizes all stupid?
I bought some new underwear yesterday, and I was all new underpants happy, but they are HUGE. Like falling down huge!
I've never been able to figure out how to buy the right kind of underpants! I am ENRAGED.
I actually did forget to check the size. Yes, that is my fault. I don't know why. I always forget to check for the size of underwear, like I think they're all the same size or whatever. But still, the sizes are funny, so it's not like I would have gotten it right even if I had checked.
I blame Clinton.

Well, qb, I guess you're gonna do what you're gonna do, but the next time you stumble drunkenly out of your limousine only to be greeted by the cruel, harsh, unforgiving reality of some paparazzi's flashbulbs, don't you come crying to me.
See you in the tabloids. Or parts of you, anyway.

Oh, someone else would sue me if it were going that way.
But if they did, I'd argue that my classy multiple-tape accessories are totally different from that one-tape junk. HA! One tape cellphone cases are for POOR PEOPLE.
