The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra had a concert that featured Maya Angelou as the narrator in Aaron Copland's
Lincoln Portrait, which Performance Today replayed on its 4th of July-themed broadcast.
This is still available through tonight at 10:00 p.m. PDT (5:00 a.m. GMT) from
their archives. If you can't listen to it today, you can just click on the "Listen" link and pause the player in the pop-up window once it starts playing. It will cache the complete program and then all you'll have to do is just hit play when you have the free time.
And if you miss this but still want to hear the piece with Angelou's narration, it will be
released on CD later this year.
