This is disgusting. I obviously can't vote, but I urge any ers in CO or SD to vote against those measures.

It's too late in some states including Pennsylvania and Utah, but it's not too late in Colorado or South Dakota.

I don't live in either state so I can't vote against that disgusting amendment. What bothers me about the whole thing is how clumps of cells are given precedence over the women who carry them. I remember reading somewhere that 80 percent of all conceptions are naturally aborted.

If you took the idea of fetal rights to its logical conclusion, nearly every sexually active woman in this country who isn't a lesbian could theoretically be charged for murder whenever they had a pregnancy scare.

There's an anti-abortion measure up for a vote in California, Prop 4. So far, the only ads I have seen on it have been against (good sign). It's not a wholesale restriction, but it's one of those death by a thousand cuts things.

South Dakota is trying to ban abortion again? After failing miserably in 2006? Will these "people" ever learn?

I voted against it when I lived in SD, but I live in MO now. On the bright side, my vote for President will, for the first time in my life, matter.

Three votes against the eggmendment (Colorado Amendment 48) from our household. One of the Denver newspapers recently published a poll indicating a better than 2-1 opposition among probable voters. We'll see whether the poll was worth a fuck come November 4.
