I hate these non-treatment centers. I read a very good book a while back about San Francisco and the various treatment centers they funded, when they decided to treat adult drug users. It also had some places like this described. None of the outcomes were good for adults either.

I fucking loathe the shipping software the company I work for uses. It is so fucking glitchy and user unfriendly. It crashes way too often and it's was out of date when we got the program.

If the headquarters of the vendor who programmed it burned to the ground, I would shed no tears. Every single idiot who had a hand in developing the program has no business pursuing a career in computer programming.

We got a call from our homeowner's insurance agent a couple of days ago. It seems that, after three years, they popped by to check out the property, and they saw...Coffee. Coffee is our brindle pibble. She weighs about 40 lbs, and she's the most wonderful dog ever. Our agent was a little testy. He insisted that we would have to get rid of Coffee if we wanted to keep our insurance with his company because "the home office has pictures of her."



The. Fuck.

You'd think they'd give us a break on our insurance because we have such a great anti-theft system. It isn't like the dogs are running around free, either (even though we're in the country where we can let them do just that if we chose). They are in a spacious, well-maintained pen at the back of the house.

Fuckers. Mother effing fuckers.

The true irony of the situation is that, should anyone breach the dog pen, Maxx is the one to fear--not Coffee. Of course, he doesn't look like a pit, so he gets a bye.

In good news, State Farm will cover us and even gave us a married discount.

Because I would be all over review sites making sure potential customers know they're coming out to skulk around and take pictures of your property for no reason, then acting like a shit about it.

I can understand if you want to wait until your fully and permanently extricated from the company, though.
