Also, I am quite willing to wait it out for an untimed game to start up first (Harry Potter! Harry Potter!), but I think raven should go ahead given that it is the holiday season and another timed one would probably fit in. I would like to get a rhythm going between untimed and timed sign-up threads.

Nightson, Crumb, livius, raven, Leesifer, et all mafia players, what do you guys think about all of this? Is this a mafia taboo or is everyone good with the duel game type plan? Should we alternate between timed and untimed or try to do two things at once?

Alternating seems best to me, considering how people feel after an untimed game, as they want something faster. After a timed game I think people want something slower. That's how I feel at least.

Decided I can't live with myself by breaking this list, so I merged the threads and cleaned it up. Out of courtesy to the GMs who've been waiting to host, we should still follow according to the order of sign up that was already established (but we could still attempt running untimed/timed games on simultaneous or alternating continuums, or else go directly by order signed up regardless of game duration - depending on the results for this poll). Please let us know if your game will be timed or untimed here so we can proceed accordingly to mob rule.

Mine will have time limits, but longer format. I.e., I'll set a reasonable time limit such as one week per game day. I'm not entirely settled on the question, but I will not allow indefinite amounts of navel-gazing.

I am old school, sorry. I also decided to open it up beyond the limitations of Mr. Moore's series and instead steal from his theme to do my own thang.

To shorten the length of the game, I will most likely try to keep it a small game, capped off at ten players at the very limit. That should speed things up, IMO.

I am still tweaking it, but I won't be ready to run it until after the new year.

ETA: Oh and mr. dem, IIRC it was either G or Pan that was talking about that theme. Maybe both fighting over it. :shrug:

I, for one, am still intrigued at your old idea of meta-obliterating sock puppet mafia.

I am still doing Caped Crusader Mafia, Adem. I was going to wait to see how the Mafia Poll went before I put it back on the list.

You can also do Batman, and so can Pan. I'd also be cool with co-hosting or trying to do a series of games with some sort of cross flavor. Like one in Arkham and one in Gotham after an escape from the asylum. Let me know what you think.

After the poll, it looks like the majority wants things unchanged. Good choice. So Lees' Harry Potter game is next in a line, then Adam's Resistance, and so on.

If Nightson has given up on it, I wouldn't mind taking the "Death Note" theme back.
Mafia Wiki says in a article that it's a near impossible theme however I think I have a mechanic which will work.

My game won't actually be the Resistance, since we're running those seperately now. If you're sure you don't mind my using the theme, it will be Gotham City.

I did, however, tell crumb I'd take the next Resistance, so I'll start sign up when I get back from holiday travel.
