The French are coming!
(Should we fight or run away?)
They've gone - I love you.

Re: Cliff's Notes Haiku
OK, sorry if this is not Haiku, I didn't do that assignment.
A stranger at home
He died at the last hour
Long scars in the earth
This might be kind of obscure, if it goes three guesses, I'll figure out a better book.

BAMP I do not know this one, but I want someone else to guess.
It's not Stranger in a Strange Land, is it?

OK. I went to Chuck's house and gave him a decisive beatdown.
Had a crazy dream,
Three days in the big city.
Met some big phonies.

Re: Cliff's Notes Haiku
No, it really is Catcher in the Rye.
I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia, the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood. And I look down and realize I'm not wearing pants. So I'm trying to act all cool about it, but the stupid pterodactyl keeps coming up under the table and pecking at my legs. Everyone's being polite and all, but I know they're seeing this.
So yeah, people who aren't racists sometimes use the word dream to mean a sort of fantasy or goal they want to accomplish someday. GOD ERIMIR. JUST UGH. GOD.
You win, though, white man. I hope you're really proud of yourself.

Yes.
Why don't you think it fits?

Re: Cliff's Notes Haiku
I couldn't remember if they got paid, so I put that in to deflect your merciless taunting in case they didn't.
OK, now I have to try to think of something again. I've only ever read like five books, so this is getting hard.
