Welcome to the Freethought Forum
The lofty high Renaissance and marked mannerism. The heavy and ornate Baroque era, followed by the gentle Rococo. Harsh neo-classicism, rich romanticism, lush naturalism, stern realism, blurred impressionism. Heady surrealism, blockish cubism, postwar Dada, pointy-cornered art deco and cookie cutter Bauhaus. Let us skip the dreariness of the past half century and arrive finally at FF Style.

Supreme Court deadlocks, says Saint Isidon't to Catholic Charter School in Oklahoma

Supreme Court dooms taxpayer funded Catholic charter school in Oklahoma | AP News

This has been a debacle from the get-go, and highly disappointing to follow. The Catholic Church has - in the past - fought tooth and nail for separation of church and state yet the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City pulls this stunt. Disgraceful. Glad that they were denied. Also surprised to see the Republican Attorney General call this a bad idea and fight it. Charter schools are mostly a blight on education to begin with, so this would have been triply awful (when you add in that it was a remote learning school as well).

In the late fifties or early sixties, long before I ever drove a car, there was a Chevrolet model often called a 'shittin' Chevy' What was it?
