Welcome to the Freethought Forum
The lofty high Renaissance and marked mannerism. The heavy and ornate Baroque era, followed by the gentle Rococo. Harsh neo-classicism, rich romanticism, lush naturalism, stern realism, blurred impressionism. Heady surrealism, blockish cubism, postwar Dada, pointy-cornered art deco and cookie cutter Bauhaus. Let us skip the dreariness of the past half century and arrive finally at FF Style.

BIDEN DEFEATED THE TURKEY SOVIET!
Apr 28, 2021 - 1:15 PM - by SOLZHENITSOF
Messrs.,
NATURALLY TURKEY SOVIET FROM ITS ARMY TO "NATIONAL ASSEMBLY OF WOULD-BE REPUBLIC", AND FROM TURKISH CALIPH ERDOGAN TO ITS AYATOLLAH GULEN* OR RATHER THE INVISIBLE TEACHER OF ERDOGAN NAMELY THE TURKISH NEW OTTOMAN CALIPH/PRESIDENT WOULD BE BARKING AT THE USA AFTER BIDEN'S HUMANITARIAN AND INSTRUCTIONAL FIGHT AGAINST THE OTTOMAN EMPIRE AND ITS BLOODY NEW GENERATIONS THAT HAD FULFILLED ARMENIAN GENOSIDE FIRST IN 1915 A.D. SECONDLY IN 6-7 SEPTEMBER 1955 A.D!!!!!!!!!
*See GULEN's secret Anti-American militant/spy ERKAN TUFAN while spending great efforts to make a pitiful Turkish liberal ESER KARAKAS cry an Anti-American slogan: " America is a double standard thing!"

ALTHOUGH ALL OF THOSE "verits abominable" WOULDN'T BE WORTH TO BE MENTIONED :
There was too much things very, very remarkable in abovementioned vicious Anti- American campaign of The Turkey Soviet; neither for the sake of teaching so that you might not think it so very much out of the way to hear my opening sentence but might say to yourselves, "Oh dear! Oh dear! We shall be too late!" (when you might have thought it over afterwards, it should occurred to The Liberal Word that it ought to have wondered at this, but at... [Read More]

The worlds most widely used programming language get custom functions!
Apr 24, 2021 - 7:44 PM - by JoeP
Yes, Microsoft really called this the worlds most widely used programming language.

I guess in the same sense that Excel is a robust enterprise-class database.

We're talking about Excel formulas, you know, the stuff you write directly in cells: =IF(A2="Bob",B2*1.15,B2).

xkcd this week alerted me to the news:

And here's the Microsoft announcement from December:
Announcing LAMBDA

Quote:
Today we are releasing to our Beta customers a new capability that will revolutionize how you build formulas in Excel. Excel formulas are the worlds most widely used programming language, yet one of the more basic principles in programming has been missing, and that is the ability to use the formula language to define your own re-usable functions.

=LAMBDA

Simply put, LAMBDA allows you to define your own custom functions using Excels formula language. Excel already allows you to define custom functions, but only by writing them in an entirely different language such as JavaScript. In contrast, LAMBDA allows you to define a custom function in Excels own formula language.
The nightmare is real: 'Excel formulas are the world's most widely used programming language,' says Microsoft The Register

Widely... [Read More]
