Monica Richards - Infrawarrior
Now I should really preface this post by saying I'm usually not a big fan of electro-anything. Not snobbish, just doesn't do much for me. However, this album has struck a chord, as it were.

I won't call it the greatest work I've ever heard, nor one of the best albums released this year. I will call it interesting, though. I could try to sum up its contents by saying it's an album where she jots down everything she believes in and sings it to a tribal beat, and that's really the best way to sum it up.
The music itself reminds me a lot of Danielle Dax meets Creatures, so no new sonic ground was really covered here. The programming for the drums is nice, the beat itself is great, and as always, Monica's voice is beautiful. No complaints there, although it does seem...silly at times to me.
I'm on my second listen now, and it's definitely grown on me.
