You know factually you

Have 5 months to live . And it’s not a medical diagnosis, but that you’ve been informed through the government that a 7 mile wide comet will hit earth at approximately that time. For the sake of argument it’s valid and true.
What do you do?

Me: gather my family give as much thanks and ask as much forgiveness as possible. I would spend once a week in the confessional. And
I would speak more openly about my faith. Or more accurately try
to be an example of it. Of course in my faith we do not get that warning.

That’s it for me. What would you guys do?

I suspect, in those circumstances, there would be a rapid breakdown of society: some people working dreary jobs in the distribution of water, electricity, food, and other essentials, would stop going to work, and within a few days that would snowball into food and water shortages, looting, lawlessness, no power, no fuel available, no telecommunications.

Most of us would probably perish by disease or violence, long before the comet struck.

Or fistful of diazepam and a liter of vodka, etc.

Frankly if I’ve learned anything it’s the human capacity for denial.

In the short term I would probably go party in a forest somewhere, in the longer term probably join an effort to archive human achievements for future humans or civilization level species.

I’ve always thought if the billionaires want to have some dumb moon race, they should develop a ‘million-year’ moon time-capsule archive vault essentially meant to document humans for the next potential species that makes it to the moon (and or our ancestors). While humans will certainly leave behind a plastic and concrete layer, the lack of complex weather on the moon makes the challenges of making something complex that last a million years potentially more reachable.

I don't actually know what I'd do. For one, I have a tendency to do better in a crisis but I don't know if I could sustain it for 5 months, so I might have burst of idealism and energy and then trudge to the ending, so whatever I do might wind up unfinished.

There's no such thing.
