Call to give homeless broadband in UK
The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister believes digital technology could be a lifeline for people on the streets.
It says many homeless people already use the internet and mobile phones to look for work and accommodation. And it wants to build on this by encouraging homeless hostels and community centres in deprived areas to install broadband access. more here I seem to remember that Philadelphia had a similar program and that there was one proposed for San Francisco. Anyone know anything about it? Fence |
Re: Call to give homeless broadband in UK
Interesting, but I dunno... presumably there are things that homeless people need MORE (like homes). If this scheme really could help them find them then fair enough, but I wonder.

It definitely occurred to me. Unfortunately I couldn't post then as the line was clogged up with other traffic.

Yeah, homeless people have a right to look at porn as much as anybody else.
