To be fair, at the time the story broke, I did see it on covered at least cursorily on several media outlets, including, IIRC, at least one local news show, and in one of those hourly cycling stories on one of the CNNs, too. Probably headline news. It was quite a while ago, so I can't cite in any more detail where I saw it aired, but I can assure you that it was aired on at least one local and one national program. I distinctly recall at least one treatment being detailed enough that it showed the original footage and included interviews with at least one of the reporters.

My point being not that the whole case isn't disgusting. It is. But I'm not sure I'd call it a censored story. The topic of the story is censorship, but I didn't see evidence that THIS story was censored.
