IMO, they're going to let him. Biden was bad this debate, but bad in the way that Biden is often bad, so  .
I saw a clip of Biden in today's rally basically saying, "I fucked up, but I will learn from this." If Biden was 50% of this during the debate, it wouldn't have even been a question of who did better. |

I didn't say that.
I'm saying that Biden is not going to step aside because of a single bad performance, and no one in the Democratic Party is going to force him, even if that single bad performance is the most crucial point in the election so far. It can and probably will be rationalized away by party leadership.
I said that the debate wouldn't have been close if Biden had any sort of energy like he did in that clip — in my opinion, Biden had to sell himself as still a viable candidate to "win", and I don't think he succeeded.
