What gave me fits is that the excuse for this lack of accountability is that they are a new department. WHAT? FEMA is NOT a new department. ICE is just renamed. They put together a jumble of old departments and call them something new and ALL their former accountability measures are useless? Give me a break!! They should have had accountability measures within each of these groups to start with--which they probably did/do but no one keeps up with them. And then the spokeperson has the gall to say that the investigation cost more than the abuses--well, it probably wouldn't have if there had been fewer of them! ARG.

I hate fake Republicans and their giant, wasteful government. Hypocrites!
