Coming out as the cop now is stupid. You do it to avoid the lynch, so that night the doc can protect you. Problem is, our doc is dead. You won't get a chance at a second look now because you outed yourself.
I assume our real cop would have figured that out. You sir, are no cop. You are most definitely mob now.
