I don't know if capp is the doc, it would be smart to claim a special role if your about to be lynched, it would at least give one more nightfall...but I don;t see how much good that would do either.

Capp is claiming to be the cop. The doc is dead. Claiming a special role, like the cop, who can out mafia ... would only work if the doc were still alive. If capp is the cop, he's dead tonight. There was no point in him revealing.
