Re: LotR Mafia - Game Thread
Nightson how else do you expect us to scum hunt on Day 1? With blind conversation about lynch bandwagons?
Mayorship makes legit conversation. Nobody has to hint at their "power roles" and townies know better than that. Suspicious suppression of conversation is suspicious. Scum are the ones who should be worried about discussion in a game with this roster of players. Manipulations will be exposed because conversation will not stop. In fact trying to convince 15 people not to talk about something only gives them more of a reason to talk about it.
We can not let scum get this power, the more and more I ponder it's devices. This role is powerful. This ring is powerful. I wish only for an honest hobbit to obtain the powers.
Electing a mayor AND deliberately taking the action to discuss our possible canidates will give us a good reason to converse and pick up tendecies in our conversations. If we put off getting a mayor now, it will only feel more rushed later. This game is timed. I think discussing a leadship role holds the most potential for both scumhunting and for the town to get to know eachother. We have a few canidates right now, we should talk with each of them and consider their ideas. I do not want to rush or lag on this. Just keep up the conversing and flow of ideas. Day 1 is usually all about theorizing, now we have a subject of conversation. And remember always to NEVER TRUST A POLITICIAN. We must be very critical of our leader and they will have to be ready for the responsibility. Any scum taking this on is going to only be heavying the load for themselves. If any mayor abuses their powers, we hold the right to lynch their asses. Still, let's try to find one good reliable person who will last the game.
