I bought a BIG pack of little pastries from Costco yesterday, not really knowing what they were, other than just pastries filled with something. Until I got home and opened one and recognized the smell instantly: Durian. Also mung bean and salted egg yolk. But overwhelmingly durian.
I mean, I don't 100% hate durian, but I also don't like it, especially not enough to eat all of these with only Ruth's help. (Matlock did bravely try a bite and didn't spit it out, but he's boycotting me now.)
Maybe I'll pass them out for Halloween. They are individually wrapped (with odor absorbing packets LOL).
