Default Saddam's Trial

Anyone know anything?

I have a link to a couple of reports, but I am too stupid to understand all that legal stuff, and it appears to be pre-trial things of which I have no understanding.

I only skimmed it looking for juicy testimony regarding the history of Iraq since just prior to Saddam's coming to power, but so far there is none of that. I wonder if there ever will be? I'd really like the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth regarding the last 30 years or so of Iraqi history, Saddam's history, and dirty geo-politics.

Oh honey, I doubt you'll get the information you're looking for from trial trancripts. Trials are convoluted messes with a lot of nothing said for the most part. The really juicy stuff is prolly a long way off.

I suppose so. But then we do have Scarlatti and ODB to chew through the legal jargon and translate for us. :D

Looks like the attorneys want access to their client, would like to initiate the process of discovery, and are objecting, under various theories in international law, to the circumstances according to which the client is being detained, and the client's captors are like, "Blow me."

Cheers, Scarlatti.

I thought that was what was happening, but legal language is damned boring to get through!

Is "blow me" a technical legal expression? ;)

Thanks D.

Now that's a summary.
