They should lock her up in an enclosed space with over 5% CO2. Let's test that theory.

I like how she looks down to her notes when she explains what carbon dioxide is.
Watching her talk is rotting my brain.

From the behavior exhibited by the subject, it appears someone has already conducted that experiment.

Could we pass a law that requires all Senators and Representatives to at least skim the relevant entries in an encyclopedia before they talk about something? Or even skim the relevant wikipedia entries for fuck's sake. Did she skip all her science classes way back in Elementary School, or did she forget it all because her pastor told her it would send her to hell?

Good grief! Can someone actually be that ignorant and stupid and yet be capable of speaking in more or less grammatical English, or is this some kind of put-on?
Just as an aside, the CO2 content of the Earth's atmosphere is much less than 1%. If it were anywhere close to 3%, we'd be in deep, deep trouble. People start showing symptoms of CO2 poisoning at concentrations of only about 1%.
Cheers,
Michael

I'm assuming that there was a village in Minnesota that had an extra idiot.
If not, and they are missing theirs, will they please come and pick her up?

Re: Michele Bachmann Keeps on giving....again!!
What I find funny is how the neo-cons and creationists intersect here. Conservatives and creationists like to tell us that the universe (and the earth) are finely tuned - and they'll gladly trot out a list of statistics and ratios (that they don't understand) and make claims like "if the planet were only 1% closer to the sun then earth couldn't support life...". Basically they believe that the universe was created by God (i.e., designed) in a finely tuned manner, specifically to support life and humanity.
OK, fine.
Well, that fine balance is precisely what is at risk with global warming. It only takes a few decades of excess greenhouse gas production to upset the existing balance. That will push the climate past a tipping point where a massive amount of change will take place in a dramatic fashion.
Yet pointing out to conservatives (who are usually creationists) that the their finely tuned climate is being endangered by their own selfish actions, and watch them immediately backpedal from the whole "finely tuned" argument. "Oh, climate has changed radically many times in the past...the earth has experienced large swings in greenhouse gases...."
The stupid.
It hurts.
Or at least, it should hurt.

I can't even think of a funny response, she's just sucked it all out of me. Are we sure she is not an advanced being from another planet here to soften us up so we can easily be in "To serve Man" for others of her kind?

You're right Michele! That is an interesting coincidence.
The swine flu outbreak to which Congresswoman Bachmann is referring happened in 1976. Now, for three bonus points - no cheating - who was President of the United States in 1976? For one more point, to which party did he belong?

I'm not going to watch that, because she's technically my senator.
Plus she wrote a nasty and inaccurate letter about the road project I was handling last fall that already made me want to do something unpleasant to her.
