We (America) are beginning to see (again) the seeds that have been planted grow to fruition.

I may be making an unfounded assumption here regarding these two men, but it appears that there is not much of a "psychological treatment" option for soldiers (in spite of the lessons of history).

When cops are involved in a shooting involving a fatality, we are given leave, consideration and psych evals (expecially when troubling new behavior emerges).

I've a feeling that when these young soldiers come back from multiple kill zones they are expected to get right back in...like machines...without many other options.

I'm not betting these will be the last examples of ptsd that make headlines.

In one of those videos luna linked to the other day they said they're asking soldiers if they feel like they might have ptsd before they ship home from Iraq, and if they answer in the affirmative they're held in country for pscyh eval and treatment instead of sent home. I can't imagine they accomplish much in a short time, though.

Those stories above are sad.
