Default Partial blindness?

Bush promises $250 billion to rebuild the new orleans welfare swamp, where 1000 people died. President Musharraf asks for a half billion to head off further calamity this winter, where 70,000 already died, and it doesn't seem to be forthcoming. Hmmmmm .....

You're just starting to see this?

The USA likes to see herself as the world's protector. Yet, when it comes to protecting people when it's not in our best interest ... fuck 'em.

Helping the northern pakistanis does happen to be in our best interest. And what point is there spending a quarter of a TRILLION dollars to rebuild houses on swampland? It almost sounds like a joke, but it's a joke on taxpayers.

You might have noticed a teeny fluctuation in gas prices in the last couple months. New Orleans is -- was -- an important port of trade.

That's true but it doesn't require a quarter trillion dollars, and all the hyper-corruption that will surely go with its expenditure, to re-establish a colony of clueless welfare recipients living on swamp land, waiting for the next hurricane.

Between NO and Southern Louisiana ports, #1 in the USA, way ahead of Long Beach or NYC.

You mean from the neck down as well? Maybe, but I think impairing alphamale's remaining gross motor skills would significantly diminish his capacity for entertainment.
