Today's
Tom Tomorrow has a six panel cartoon where the penguin with shades responds to this gem from a Bushite:
Quote:
"I don't know why you moonbats are so worked up over this so-called spying scandal! After all -- If you're innocent, then you don't have anything to hide!"
|
The moonbat penguin response:
Quote:
"Oh, really....?
Well, then--maybe it's time for the Bush administration to release the records of Dick Cheney's secret energy task force! And the documents they've withheld on pre-9/11 intel and Katrina preparedness! And anything ELSE they've been hiding behind claims of executive privilege!
While they're at it, maybe they could come clean on torture and extraordinary rendition and that global network of secret prisons! And they could tell us how many times Ken Lay and Jack Abramhoff visited the Oval Office! And they could finally let us know exactly whose idea it was to leak Valerie Plame's name--and why!
And what about the Downing Street Memo? The lies they told to justify the war in the first place? The no-bid contracts with Halliburton? The billions of dollars that simply vanished in Iraq? Not to mention the NSA spying program itself! Why were they so desperate to avoid oversight?
While we're on the subject, maybe they could even release the records from the first Bush administration--the ones that Junior inexplicably sealed on his first day in office! And---and--
--Gosh, I could just go on and on and on!
After all--If the innocent have nothing to hide--"

"Yes, yes, you don't have to drive it home with a sledgehammer"

responds the apologist.
Just keep that list in front of the voters over the next two elections.
