They're both temporary bandaids that do nothing to address the root causes of high gas prices.

Yeah, I've been slamming the Republicans the last couple of days, but you are right, the Democrats aren't any better. I just pick on the Republicans more because they have the power at the moment (and my parents are Republicans). The Democrats are the biggest bunch of ineffectual, talk-and-do nothing people that have ever existed. It's no wonder their mascot is a jackass.

Neither party wants to anything that would be meaningful, just make token political jestures.
