I'm subscribed and I'm not sure if you can read it without at least getting the day pass, but it's worth it either way. Salon's War Room. So far, it's the best online source of breaking election news/rumors/polls I've found. I've been refreshing it obsessively all day.

And before the Kubric fans get on me, yes, there's plenty of fighting in it.

Grist Magazine's Amanda Griscom (whose column "Muckraker" appears regularly on Salon) reports that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is on the shortlist for EPA chief if Kerry takes the White House

I'm on the shortlist for Assistant Whitehouse Trashcan cleaner-outer. I've got the inside track on it, I gave big money to the DNC. If I had given as much money to the Bush campaign four years ago, I'd have been on the Tin Star donors list, and be ambassador to Bumfukistan or something right now, but Dems don't work it that way, they actually want you to be qualified for something.

Oh my goodness that's encouraging! South Carolina is almost as solidly conservative as is Texas. If S.C. is actually still in play, that's very encouraging news indeed!
