I wish this thread was about food.

My great-grandma had a great place in North Hollywood with a gigantic walnut tree in the yard. When we were little, my cousin and I used to pick up the ones that had fallen to the ground. They were like little limes, with a green rind that you would peel off and the walnut was inside. We would crack them against the sidewalk to open them. They had been out in the sun, and the meat was super fresh and warm, almost like they were roasted.
