Very nice analysis, Tom. Except one problem. I'm not mob. And I see a way that the Mafia can take advantage of your analysis. Suppose that I don't get lynched today, then what's stopping the Mafia from killing you anyway? They don't care about me because I'm not one of them. If the other townies decide to follow your reasoning the next day then other innocent townies including myself will be killed.
Or maybe you won't be killed tonight because you're actually Mafia and you're leading the town right to their own grave.
