The day after the election I mentioned to someone that I felt like I had post partum depression.

I guess I wasn't alone.

Do we still care about this stuff?

Latest tally: Begich leads Stevens by 3 votes: 2008 Election | adn.com

This looks pretty good. He's closed a gap of some 4000 votes, implying that the (till then) uncounted ballots slanted heavily in Begich's favor, as 538 predicted several days ago.

538 also seems optimistic about Franken's chances, so... yeah, the fact that they are always creepily accurate should be cause for comfort.

I was gonna post that stuffs.

Missouri I dunno. They updated a few days ago, narrowing McCain's lead from 6000+ to just under 5000, but no news since. Is it final? Who knows.

It will probably stay in McCain's column tho.

Yeah I assume McCain will win Missouri, but Jesus Christ, how come it takes this long when every other state wrapped up a week ago? Are they frantically counting and recounting until Obama wins, so they get to remain the "bellwether"?

Not Good! Now, we are all in for (4) more years of terrible-terrible-terrible so-called Democrat Omnipotence! Under the phony mantle of 'Change' they have fooled enough of the General Public (now the General Idiocy) into voting for their Homophile ways, their Campaigns of Lies, and their latest puppet ... this time a Stainless Black Puppet! And all along, the ONLY change that the so-called Democrats AKA Homosexuals AKA Feminists AKA Liberals want for anyone who opposes them ... is their favorite Homophilic FETISH ... the Sex Change! That's CHANGE - SQLD STYLE!See MassResistance! for the Truth about so-called Democrats.....................And is the Black Race happy and ecstatic about the Black Puppet?HECK NO!!!!Fakery is Fakery, and Puppetry is Puppetry -- regardless of colors!!!! I was in the Chicago area when that traitor to his own party (the white one), gave its concession speech. I did not hear it admit, that it was a blatant opportunist, or that it put its own selfish desires before the interests of the American People ... when it betrayed the President of the United States, Conservatives, and it's Party ... using the totally phony excuse of 'Moderation'. Gee, why not? It's a hero of the so-called Democrats now! AKA Homosexuals AKA Liberals AKA Feminists (etc). Something else happened that night. I was in a place occupied by a lot of Real Black Men, so I asked each one of them what he thought of this event. One said he voted for the Black Puppet, and then nodded off. Some said things like (and I quote) "Could be better.", "We'll have to wait and see.", "Don't know yet." More than half of them just shook their heads, the others did not know it was happening. I said to myself ... "If this was Real - all of these Men would be jumping up and down for Joy. Celebrating. Jubilant!"There was mention that we can all expect sex-changes now, but that was from a white guy, and I already knew that.So where was the Celebration? Where were the bottles of Champagne, the party attire, the toasts to a new future? I didn’t even hear the clinking of plastic coffee cups. There was mention that “Thank God, ( I - as in 'me' ) is still 'Square!” But I hear that all the time, and they never know I am there, when they say it. All in all - it was about as 'Non-an-event' - as an event can be!There was a comment ... "Now, I'll get some money from the Rich People!" (really, swear-to-God) All in all- it was pathetic. A White Opportunist gets beaten by a Black Puppet ... and everyone is blasé and almost asleep about it. Truly, a ‘Yawning Event’. And, that was supposed to be a ‘National Election‘. At least a few death threats, please! What's this War coming to? I have to literally pry responses out of people, otherwise they just stand or sit, and watch it with dull eyes. If, they are aware of it at all. I was with a crowd of normally very vocal people, and it was like attending a funeral. So, I went next door. Same kind of talkative crowd. Everyone who was busy, was too busy to pay attention. Some had nothing else to do, and sat watching the Satan Tube with the customary glazed eyes and dulled faces. One of them muttered ... "I wonder what ( I - as in 'me' ) will do about it." The dull face next to that one said ... "Rip it apart." ... almost as though speaking at all was too much effort for a Satan Tube Watcher. I got a cup of coffee and left, thoroughly disgusted. Those people are "Going to Hell in a Handbag!" as the saying goes. Am I supposed to be content with being a Real Human and a servant of God ... and let everyone else go to Hades? Later, I drove through Chicago expecting to see fireworks, and people driving crazy on the highways, waving their arms, shouting and so forth. Instead there was - Zip - Nada - No One Present Or Accounted For. No reactions were evident at all. Traffic was normal, there was no sign of any great SQLD victory. I looked closely, and there were no street parades or signs of revelry. So are we to conclude, that if there is not a Satan Tube camera crew present, there are no Celebrations? It couldn’t be planned that way - could it? Gosh, what would that mean? What happens when ’Perception is Reality’ serves ’Social Manipulation’? I'm still shaking my head about all of it. Frankly, I'm downright disappointed with everyone. The word for all of it is ... ‘Paltry.’.................... So to continue, the next day I finally heard someone say something. An old black man was talking to an old white man in a restaurant I was breezing through, and I heard him say ... “You see, dem white folks, dey come from the riches, the wealth of the country. They don know what it like to have nothin. We need someones who been poor for our leader.” Add a thick southern black accent.Well, that was totally wrong ... but at least someone said something! What we need is someone who is free of the Intellectual Starvation of being a Satan Tuber, who is not a playdough of the Filthy Monkeys Band, and not a wretched knock-about toy of the Satanic newsrags, magazines, brainwashed family members and so forth..................... As it has turned out, on November 4, 2008, all three proposed Marriage Amendments to stop the so-called Homosexuals from pretending to be married - just so they could poison our Human System further - have succeeded! (Florida, Arizona, and California) And, the so-called Homosexuals have been denied Pretending Rights in Arkansas! That makes it - A GREAT DAY FOR HUMANS EVERYWHERE!!!!And a bad day for Judge Prostitutes, indeed! That means Humans everywhere have cause to Rejoice and Celebrate because of this ‘National Election’!How bitterly ironic can you get?The latest toy of the so-called Homosexuals, is now another in a long line of phony so-called Democrat presidents. However, the evil plans of its HomoMasters are being shut down Nationwide!!!! And what good is a Puppet without a Master?....................Meanwhile, the Republicans are losing even more seats everywhere, due to their dismal lack of ... (classified).Well, now we’ve seen how bogus and worthless ‘Moderation’ is. But, did we really have to go through all of that shuck and jive? I walk and talk and chalk my way through all of these absurdities (as I always have), and I usually come to profound conclusions. Some people call it being ‘perspicacious’, but I’m too dumb to know what that means. One of those past conclusions, that I realized decades ago, is that the Satan Tube ... which consists of the so-called Television Networks ... that just foisted a Black Puppet upon the General Idiocy ... is Non-Human. It exists to destroy all Decency, Sanity, Freedom and Morality of the Human Species ... thus stripping them of their all-important Human Validity, which we are all born with. Today’s conclusion is simple ... You just can't have a Party without me - can you?....................I will share with you a comment I sent out, about an article which was whining, that there was still a need for Republicans in America. This happened the day after the Black Puppet was fitted. I sent this reply: Please - do you realize how off base you are? Four years ago it was the Republicans that were asking if they should allow the Democrats to continue to exist. Of course the answer was NO, but they were soft as usual - and now the Democrats have people asking - should the Republicans still exist? The Democrats are Vicious, and the Republicans are Afraid of their own shadows ... and Heaven forbid someone might not like them! However, the Democrats always pervert and destroy everything, and the Republicans always preserve and rebuild everything ...So the cycle of Destruction and Reconstruction continues Forever. It's all the ‘Great Yawn of the Known Universe‘.I-Know-It--I-Knew-Itper-spi-cacious): Dolphin-like.

Speaking of Ted Stevens...

Latest tally: Begich leads Stevens by 3 votes: 2008 Election | adn.com

So, it looked like he was winning...until they actually, you know, counted the votes. All of a sudden, it's really close.

If there's one thing that the 2008 presidential election has taught us, it's that counting the votes has a well-known liberal bias. Thus, we should suspend democracy, appoint Bush president-for-life, and let him dissolve the liberally-biased U.S. Congress.

It's the only bipartisan thing to do.

Update: Stevens is now down by 3,724 votes, putting Begich up by 1.18%, and thus out of automatic recount range.

It's all but official now. If Stevens decides to pony up the $15k for a recount, it'll go on longer, but I'd expect him to concede pretty soon (let's hope it's tomorrow).

McCain's still ahead by 4,355 votes out of 2.9 million votes cast, about .15% ahead. Once pronounced official by the Mo SecState, that should trigger an automatic recount. Or not, what's the point?

I think Franken is behind by something like 255 votes.

Make that zero to zero votes.
