861747 I managed to drop my phone out of a 3 storey window today. From the stairwell in a building, so I had to go around and check the parking lot. Weirdly it was still working, though cracked. I could even call my contacts, but I noticed later that I couldn't punch all numbers, so I went and got a new one and it's already driving me nuts. Had to punch in all my contacts by hand and it's almost impossible to type e without getting r.

I have a smartphone. Needs recharging at least daily.
And a dumbphone. Lasts for weeks - months if I don't use it - with the battery still at 4 bars.

I already posted about the 'smart' phone my company gave me. It was huge and heavy. It even had a bar code reader (not via the camera - an actual separate scanner thing). It was confusing and frustrating to use and drained the battery each day. As the battery aged a bit, it wouldn't even last for half a day. I looked up the price of a replacement battery and found I could buy a complete unlocked dumb phone to move the SIM card into for less money than the replacement battery. So I bought a dumb phone and have been very happy with it. It lasts about a fortnight between charges.
