I don't know for sure it is the real one, but he didn't actually smear cake on the painting, just on the protective glass. I guess he tried to smash the glass first with his fists, couldn't and just smeared the glass with cake instead.

Also, he was dressed as an old lady in a wheelchair before he jumped up and did his thing.
