French fries dipped in a vanilla shake? I am guilty of that one.

Instead of plum sauce, in Oregon, at "cantonese" restaurants, you would frequently get hot Chinese mustard in a pool of Ketchup.

I eat french fries with yellow mustard. I don't dislike ketchup, but I do like mustard. Sometimes I mix mustard and ketchup for dipping chicken nuggets.

Mustard rocks. Don't be serving me any potatoes without mustard.
That's not a crime!

Sour cream, Louisiana hot sauce, and Dill pickle sandwiches.

Or peanut butter and Dill pickle sandwiches.

Peanut butter and dill pickle sandwiches are not in any way culinary crimes. Why, I'm planning on having that for lunch. It's an old family tradition.

Some people just prefer savory over sweet.

Though so far, the only thing here that makes me gag is the mayo and ketchup aficionados. That's... too awful to contemplate. And I can't think of anything I eat that's out of the ordinary.

Sour Cream and Onion seasoning over popcorn. Which isn't too bad. But the fact that I could eat the seasoning by itself by the spoonful probably is.

My worst culinary crime? Instant mashed potatoes... *hangs head in shame*

The one culinary crime I can't forgive? That horrible pre-ground powdery black pepper. Especially when served in restaurants. Buy a grinder, you cheap bastards!

My husband and brother both have been known to dip their pizza in ranch dressing, which I find absolutely disgusting.

Some people just prefer savory over sweet.
And some people are just dead WRONG and refuse to admit it.

Ketchup/Mayo mixture on burgers, that's a staple of Arctic Circle shops. Good stuff.

Mazzio's Pizza here in Oklahoma includes containers of a parmesan ranch dressing with their pizzas, you can even get extra if you want it.

Not all Arctic Circle restaurants; we stopped at one in Lamar, Colorado and asked for it and was met with puzzled looks by employees that wanted to know what fry sauce was. When I told them it was basically ketchup and mayo mixed, one of them said "Yuck."

Ketchup and mayo for fries isn't normal? Hell they have Mcchicken sauce in packets here so that people can do that.

My worst crime?

Mix 1/2 can tomato soup 1 can mushroom soup microwave until it gets really really hot and makes a skin on top then put that on white rice.

It's yummy.

Sounds like an Oregon crime, Ranch dressing on everything.

The only uniquely Oregon food I've been able to find it ranch dressing and Jo-jos (which are potatoes quartered lengthwise and deep fried with some sort of breading that they probably have left over from the fried chicken).

I'm pretty sure there's still one in Arvada and one in Idaho Springs.

Does it bring it back on topic that I want tomato, pineapple, and jalapeno? That's the perfect pizza for anything but New York style.
